Much of the stuff is adventurous, exploration related, scientifically intriguing, culturally diverse, or mind-stretchingly interesting in some way or another. When I just had a look around to see if I could find some items to mention I found there was a glass-bottomed inflatable boat, a fashionable jumper made from Peruvian alpaca wool, a robot artificial intelligence dinosaur, a Nepalese Mandala gong, the Gospel of Judas on DVD, and a miniature telescope that you point anywhere in the sky at night and it tells you the names of the stars it's looking at! Even those little watches are something more than they seem, as they are in fact carabiners with inbuilt timepieces, so you can hang on a rope off a precipice and dependably know what time it is, even underwater in the dark.
