US BANK
U.S. Bank Free Checking Account - featured at Zyra's affiliate website
The U.S. Bank Program offers U.S. Bank Free Checking. This is worth knowing about for sure, and there are other key features to the US Bank Checking Account.
"With
over 10 million customers and a presence in 24 states, U.S. Bank
is a trusted brand and offers a superior set of financial and
banking services".
Plus, in 2004, the parent company U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB), was quoted as having assets in excess of $189 billion, the 8th largest financial services holding company in the United States: "We operate over 2,243 banking offices and more than 4,425 ATMs in 24 states, and provide a comprehensive line of banking, brokerage, insurance, investment, mortgage, trust and payment services products to consumers, businesses and institutions. U.S. Bancorp is home of the Five Star Service Guarantee, which assures customers of certain key banking benefits and services". Impressive, don't you think?
Plus,
another fact about opening a U.S. Bank FREE Checking Account is
this: "Because Internet Bill Pay is now FREE*! U.S. Bank is
also the only bank that offers our customers the exclusive
Checking That PaysŪ Program.
Checking That Pays
features a choice of cash, points for merchandise and gift
certificates, miles or sweepstakes entries for your U.S. Bank
Check Card purchases (non-PIN). So open a U.S. Bank FREE Checking

Can't say fairer than that! Free US Bank Checking Account, bonuses for cash purchases, and you enter to win a $500 Target GiftCard!
Just open a U.S. Bank Checking Account online with the Checking That Pays Rewards Program, and register to WIN a $500 Target GiftCard.
It's at about this point that there was a link to US Bank, and we've been good for business for a time now. But then this strange message came in...
| Dear Zyra, We regret to inform you that the Commission Junction advertiser U.S. Bank "Banking & Credit Card" Program has chosen to expire its affiliation with you effective 30-Jun-2004. If you would like to locate another advertiser in the network to partner with, login to your Account Manager and visit the Get Links tab. Best Regards, Client Services Commission Junction |
Presumably it's a mistake, as surely US Bank would not want to lose the affiliate. There's nothing to gain by terminating an affiliate relationship. Hopefully this will be sorted out soon and we'll continue to be mutually good for business.
In the meantime,
customers may still visit US Bank by typing in the URL: http://www.usbank.com
which is
still there as far as we know. Commission
Junction have helpfully
suggested an alternative be selected (see Finance), but it would be
nice if we could get the US Bank link back again. We get on well
with US Bank and have helped with security by warning people to
avoid being fooled by bank hoax
emails which are fake but
pretend to be from the banks! In the meantime, an alternative
suggestion could be ING DIRECT in the USA. Trying
to be helpful.
